Does the embedded PrinterOn agent support individual job encryption? - c06884799

Today PDS is available as an embedded option in Ricoh and Samsung devices. The communication channel is encrypted ( ie . Jobs are downloaded over SSL/TLS), but the devices are not capable of decrypting individual job data in the same way as the desktop PDS.

All Samsung devices with a HDD come with the optional configuration for 128 bit AES encryption and data overwrite. When this is enabled, jobs at rest on the hard drive will be encrypted. This encryption is not tied to PrinterOn in any way, shape or form, it is the hardware performing this action and is not dependent on any configuration within PrinterOn .

If your environment is pull print, you can configure the solution to leave the job in PDH and download to the local MFP/Printer down only when requested.
