How to customize the web submission page text for PrinterOn Enterprise - c06407864

In order to customize the text appearing on the web print submission page complete the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the default directory: C:\Program Files (x 86)\ PrinterOn Corporation\Apache Tomcat\webapps\cps\WEB-INF\lib
  2. Make a backup copy of the cps-web-x.x.x.jar file (Where X represents the version of the PrinterOn Enterprise software currently installed. The backup copy must be stored in a different folder preferably on a different drive)
  3. Make a temporary copy of the file (to be modified) and rename if by adding the zip file extension. Ex: cps-web.x.x.x.jar.zip
  4. Double click the file which allows you to navigate the folder structure
    Navigate to \cps-web-x.x.x.jar.zip\com\ printeron \cps\resources
  5. Locate the file ‘ CpsResourceBundle_en_ US.properties ’ (copy the file to the desktop or the temporary folder to make changes)
  6. Open the file as you normally would with ‘Notepad’ or your favorite text editor
  7. Search for the text you would like to change then make the appropriate changes, save the file.
  8. Drag the file back into the zipped folder you currently have opened where you dragged the file from in the first place
    Copy and replace the file over top of the file currently in the location
  9. Close the zipped flder you currently have opened, then rename the cps-web-x.x.x.jar.zip file back to cps-web-x.x.x.jar
  10. Stop the ‘Central Print Services’ service from the Windows service panel or from the PrinterOn Configuration Manager
  11. Copy the cps-web-x.x.x.jar file you just modified back to the default directory C:\Program Files (x 86)\ PrinterOn Corporation\Apache Tomcat\webapps\cps\WEB-INF\lib
    Overwriting the file currently in place
  12. Start the ‘Central Print Services’ service from the windows service panel or from the PrinterOn Configuration Manager

Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 3.x and later. Additionally you might need to clear the cache from your browser to view the changes
