2-byte fonts not printing properly when submitted through the PrinterOn Enterprise solution - c06244709
By default a txt file is saved as ANSI instead of UNICODE and that can cause some printing issues in some languages, specially in Asian languages.
In order to counter the issue with the encoding, try the following:
- Log in to the PrinterOn Configuration Manager.
- Select Advanced , then components .
- Select Configure on the PrintAnywhere Server (PAS).
-
Select
Formats
.
-
Adjust the
Default Text File Encoding
option to one of the following (not set by default):
- Cyrillic
- Hebrew
- Korean
- Simplified Chinese
- Traditional Chinese
- Japanese
- Select Apply Settings to commit the changes.
- Attempt to submit the print request again.
NOTE:
Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 3.x and later.
