An Error has occurred: Could not connect to the Central Print Service - c06234551

When clicking on the printers tab results in this error - An error has occurred: Could not connect to the Central Print Service (CPS) .

Steps for Resolution:

  1. If the machine previously had Microsoft SQL server installed before the PrinterOn Enterprise solution was installed; the previous installation of SQL needs to be removed.
    Remove the Microsoft SQL server along with the PrinterOn Enterprise solution, then install the PrinterOn Enterprise solution again (Microsoft SQL Express will be automatically installed).
  2. If no previous copy of the Microsoft SQL service was installed, try restarting all SQL services via Windows Services console.
  3. Confirm that IIS has been disabled or removed from the machine (if IIS was installed, restart the machine and confirm the CPS is accessible).
  4. Confirm that there are no other applications on the machine that maybe using port 80 or 443 (the default ports used by the CPS component).
