Chrome displaying untrusted certificate message - c06604001

This article is simply to provide some guidance to resolve an error seen in the Chrome browser when using a Windows CA certificate to secure the PrinterOn Web Printing page. This error message does not cause any function problems when the warning is bypassed and print jobs submitted for processing.

This issue can appear when a Local Windows CA provided the certificate for the web service, which by default can only provide a Common Name (CN) for a server's identity, and not a Subject Alternative Name (SAN). In Chrome 58, the Common Name field is now ignored entirely. To enable Windows CA to issue SAN certificates, please review these articles but note this is not an area that HP Support can assist with.
