Document name in the PrinterOn queue monitor shows differently in the Equitrac queue viewer and the Windows queue - c06233119
Print jobs are being transferred to the Equitrac print queue successfully, however the document name is showing in the Equitrac Queue as 'Local Downlevel Document' or another name not the same as the original name or the document name appearing in the PrinterOn queue monitor.
Troubleshooting Steps
-
If the “
Hide document name in Windows
” option is enabled and the
DRE/DRC
and '
Follow-You
' Printing options enabled, your jobs appear as "Local
Downlevel
Document".
Try disabling this option and confirm if the job name comes through correctly. -
Try installing the Print Delivery Station component on:
- The Equitrac DRE/DCE machine (a domain account is required to communicate with the print queue).
- The machine hosting the PrinterOn Enterprise solution components (a domain account is required to communicate with the print queue).
-
Ensure the service account being used for the
PrinterOn
Passport service is the proper service account.
NOTE:
If the service account is changed, ensure a restart of the Print Delivery Station (PDS) service is completed either from the PrinterOn configuration Manager or the Microsoft Windows service panel. - Try creating a new Equitrac queue and send the jobs to the new queue (where possible).
NOTE:
Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 3.x and older.
Make sure the service account being used for the PDS has domain permissions to submit the job from one server to the next.
