Does adding more Central Processing Unit (CPU) cores increase the number of jobs the PrinterOn Enterprise solution can process at one time? - c06244693

No, the number of jobs processed is not related to the Central Processing Unit cores on the server hosting the PrinterOn Enterprise solution.

The PrinterOn Enterprise solution requires CPU cycles along with other applications on the machine such as, SQL server, system applications all looking to open and perform in less time as possible to prevent waiting for the user.

Due to this, increasing the CPU on the machine will mean less sharing of CPU cycles between applications, but this also means that the applications that are required by the PrinterOn Enterprise solution can complete their task faster which will mean the PrinterOn solution will be working optimally to provide a response to the print request.

NOTE:

Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 3.x and later.
