PrinterOn recommends that the PrinterOn Enterprise solution be installed on a dedicated machine when installed in a production environment.

This is a recommended approach for a couple reasons:

• Document processing can require a high amount of CPU/RAM usage, which may interfere with other solutions expecting guaranteed response times.
• For support reasons, the PrinterOn support team cannot easily provide assistance if there are problems that may be caused by interaction with applications outside of the PrinterOn support team's control.

NOTE:

Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 2.x and later.

The PrinterOn Enterprise solution can be installed on a virtual machine, therefore allowing other applications to exist on other virtual machines making it easier to interact with the PrinterOn solution easier.
