Using the steps below the administrator of the PrinterOn Enterprise solution can troubleshoot issues and the particular error mesage : Error message: PAS00100: This type of file cannot be processed by your service.

  1. Validate that the file type being printed is a valid file type.
    Confirm that the file type is supported, confirm by reviewing the file type with the supported file types.
    • Microsoft Formats
      Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio( PrinterOn Enterprise only)) 2000-2019
    • Apache Open Office Formats
      Apache OpenOffice/LibreOffice Writer 2.x and later, Calc 2.x and later, Impress 2.x and later, Draw 2.x and later
    • Graphics and Text Formats
      PDF, Microsoft XPS, PNG, BMP, JPEG, HTML, GIF, TIFF, RTF, ASCII Text, Unicode Text, ZIP
  2. Validate that the PrinterOn Enterprise solution service components are running from
    • Login to the PrinterOn Configuration Manager
    • Select the services menu, then confirm the services are running state
    • From the Microsoft Windows machine, open up the services window and confirm that the PrinterOn components are running
  3. Try scanning the machine so the PrinterOn Enterprise solution can find supported applications
    • Login to the PrinterOn Configuration Manager
    • Select Advanced, then Components
    • Select Configure on the PrintAnywhere Server
    • Select the Applications tab
    • Select 'Auto Configure Settings' (this will force the PrinterOn Enterprise solution to check the machine for supported applications, and automatically restart the services as well)
    • Try to submit the print job again, try also jpg/ png files to see if those work
  4. Try removing the PrintAnywhere Services
    • Run the PrinterOn Enterprise solution installer again
    • Select 'Modify'
    • Un-check the PrintAnywhere Server component, then confirm the menu to start the uninstallation
    • Restart the machine after the maintenance has been completed
    • Run the PrinterOn Enterprise solution installer again
    • Select 'Modify'
    • Check the box for the PrintAnywhere Server component, complete the wizard to re-add the component
    • Restart the machine to commit the changes
    • Try submitting the print job again
