Error messages: FCS1198: The Print Delivery Station service is not running. This program requires that the Print Delivery Station service be running. Do you wish to start the service now? - c06238678

This error typically occurs after Microsoft Windows updates on the machine hosting the Print Delivery Station or any type of system/application updates

  1. If the Print Delivery Station is version 2.5, then most likely Java has been updated on the machine
    • Remove the latest release of Java and install the version of Java that comes with the Print Delivery Station
    • Then try to open up the Print Delivery Station UI again
    • Alternatively Upgrade the Print Delivery Station to version 4.x
  2. Corruption with the Print Delivery Station properties file, remove the Print Delivery Station and re-install again
