How to configure an LDAP/AD profile for use with an AD Group to login using the PrinterOn Configuration Manager - c06229997
Using the steps below the administrator of the PrinterOn Enterprise solution can configure LDAP/AD group access to login to the PrinterOn Configuration Manager
- Follow the steps in the chapter called Configuring LDAP/AD server profiles within the PrinterOn Enterprise Configuration Guide
- Ensure the Search DN reflects the top level domain where your admin users you wish to access this page are located eg. DC= company,DC =com
- Configuration Manager Access should be turned on for this profile
- Within the User ID Attribute field, enter (&(objectClass= User)( memberOf=CN=ponteam,CN=Security,CN=Groups,DC=company,DC=com)(sAMAccountName=*))
- Save changes
- Log out of the PrinterOn Configuration Manager
- Log in as a user within the defined group to confirm access is working as expected
NOTE:
Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 4.x and later. These changes assumes the User ID Attribute is still samAccountName which is the Windows default value. For a nested group, use (&(objectClass= User)( memberOf:1.2.840.113556.1.4.1941:=CN=ponteam,CN=Security,CN=Groups,DC=company,DC=com)(sAMAccountName=*))
