How to confirm if your PrinterOn Enterprise service has a valid certificate in place - c06238092

PrinterOn client applications will no longer allow end users to approve the self-signed certificates when connecting to PrinterOn Enterprise services from within the PrinterOn client applications and will require approval via the operating system.

This means the PrinterOn Central Print Services component must utilize a fully qualified certificate. It's possible to set up a Local Certificate Authority and utilize certificates from there instead of a fully qualified one, but this requires more steps for the end user than using a fully qualified certificate. See How to create a Local Certificate Authority for more details.

To confirm if your PrinterOn Enterprise service has a valid certificate in place, visit the web print page from a machine outside of the server which is hosting PrinterOn Enterprise and view the certificate details from a browser.

For example, visit https://enterprisedemo.demoprint.com/cps and then click the Lock icon that appears in the address bar of your browser. When you click this icon you will get details about the certificate in use for this web service. If the details confirm there is a Secure Connection, your PrinterOn Enterprise service is utilizing a valid certificate.
