Apple Configurator
Steps to create profile:
- Launch Apple Configurator
- Create new profile
- Set a Description on the General tab
- Choose the AirPrint option from the left side menu
- Click Configure
- Click the + button to add a new printer
- Enter the server IP or DNS for the PDG host machine in the Host Name or IP Address field
- Press the tab key to get to the next field (using a mouse does not work)
- Enter the printer number or printer name, preceded by a forward slash (/) in the Resource Path field
- Click your cursor into the Host Name or IP Address field again and click Save
- This profile can now be shared with users for deployment on iOS devices
Known Limitations:
- When ready to save, the cursor must be in the IP Address field, or the save button will remain unavailable
- Must use default IPP port of 631, so PDG must be modified to listen on port 631
- When entering the resource path, ensure you lead with a "/"
