How to reset the password for the PrinterOn Configuration Manager for the PrinterOn Enterprise solution - c06242677

Using the steps below the administrator of the PrinterOn Enterprise solution can reset or change the password in order to access the configuration settings.

1. Open up the PrinterOn Config License file with Notepad or WordPad.
2. Navigate to the line called " SiteAuth ".
3. Copy the value .
4. Launch the PrinterOn Configuration Manager.
5. Click " Forgot Password " on the PrinterOn Configuration Manager login page.
6. Enter the " SiteAuth " value as the password (this was copied from the licenses file in step #2 and #3).
7. Click Reset Password .
8. The Login page for the PrinterOn Configuration Manager will be loaded.
9. Enter " root " as the username.
10. Key in the " SiteAuth " Value in the Password Field.
11. Re-enter the " SiteAuth " Value in the Old Password Field.
12. Key in your new password (Password requirements include: minimum 8 characters required along with uppercase, lowercase, numbers and special characters).
13. Confirm your new password Login.
14. Be sure to document the password to be used in the future.

NOTE:

Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 3.x and later.

Changing the password for one (1) PrinterOn Configuration Manager does not impact the password for any other PrinterOn Configuration managers if they exist in the environment.
