How to restore 'root' access to PrinterOn Configuration Manager? - c06234687
Using the steps below the administrator of the PrinterOn Enterprise solution is able to reset the PrinterOn Coniguration Manager access to default and allow 'root' access if it was previously disabled.
Steps to resolution:

Open a text editor in administrator mode.
- In the Windows Start menu or File Manager, right-click the text editor.
- Select Run as Administrator.

In the text editor, open the following file:
C:\Program Files (x 86)\ PrinterOn Corporation\ PrinterOn Server Install Manager\ printeron -web\WEB-INF\classes\ ponconf.properties -
In the
ponconf.properties
file, locate the following entry:
ponconf.rootUser = false
and change it to the following:
ponconf.rootUser = true - Save the file.
- Restart “PON Configuration Manager” service from the Microsoft Windows services panel.
- Attempt to login with the Root user and default password.
