Is it possible to block a guest user from using the PrinterOn Enterprise solution? - c06617926
When the PrinterOn solution has been configured to allow guest users to submit their print requests, the PrinterOn application does not have a built in way of identifying users that are no longer allowed to use the solution; therefore it is not possible today to block unwanted or specific guest users from submitting their print requests.
Items to Consider:
- Limit access to the PrinterOn solution if it's possible - in this scenario a company could configure the PrinterOn Enterprise solution to be accessible by only users that are connected on the 'guest Wi-Fi'. This method can only be used when the PrinterOn Enterprise solution is deployed on the customer's network or within the customer's private cloud.
- Enable Release Codes - By enabling Privacy Release (Secure Release) codes will provide a release code to the user submitting the print requests, the user would then need to have physical access to the release station in order to release their submitted print jobs. Review KB#-2273 for steps on enabling Privacy Release codes.
NOTE:
This applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 3.x and later and PrinterOn Enterprise Managed Cloud.
