Print Delivery Station cannot download jobs from Print Delivery Hub in On-Premise deployment of 3.2.3 - c06237423

Jobs appear stuck with the status status "Downloading" in Print Delivery Station (PDS) Queue Monitor.

PDS logs show error:

' GetJobDataCallable : Unexpected data encountered while downloading job with ID:61 - <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?>< GetJobData SWVer ="3.2.3.836" returnCode ="FCS9006" errorText ="Unexpected server error." />'

Print Delivery Hub (PDH) logs show error:

' GetJobDataCommand : GetJobDataCommand validateCall '

' GetJobDataCommand : validateQueryString : https://89.96.144.154/cps/rest/ValidateServerJob?apiVer=1.0&serverSN=0SYS-J034-FFC4&jobRefID=1000107&printerID=900784151735'

' GetJobDataCommand : Validate call failed due to status code:204'

Resolution Steps:

  1. Upgrade the PrinterOn Enterprise Solution to the latest release of software.
  2. Manually adjust the software using these steps.
    1. Login to the PrinterOn Configuration Manager.
    2. Select Advanced > Components.
    3. Select Configure on the PDH.
    4. Select the Internet Communication tab.
    5. Disable the Enable Advanced Job Validation option.
    6. Select Apply Settings.
    7. Restart the PDH and the PDS components and validate that the new print requests are successfully downloaded.

Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 3.2.3 or older, resolved in the PrinterOn Enterprise solution 3.2.4 or later.
