PrinterOn Configuration Manager Lockout mechanism - c06238708

Using the steps below will assist the PrinterOn solution administrator to understand the lockout mechanism included within the PrinterOn Configuration Manager.

Attempting to login on the PrinterOn Configuration Manager with multiple unsuccessful attempts locks out the PrinterOn Configuration Manager.

Understanding the PrinterOn Configuration Manager Lockout system:

Three incorrect attempts will place the PrinterOn Configuration Manager in a lock out for 1 minute.

• One additional unsuccessful attempt (right after the 3 previous unsuccessful attempts) will place the PrinterOn Configuration Manager in a lock out for 1 more minute.
• One additional unsuccessful attempt (right after the 4 previous unsuccessful attempts) will place the PrinterOn Configuration Manager in a lock out for 2 more minutes.
• One additional unsuccessful attempt (right after the 5 previous unsuccessful attempts) will place the PrinterOn Configuration Manager in a lock out for 4 more minutes.

NOTE:

Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 3.x and later.

Interval doubles each time going forward.
