PrinterOn Services are Moving - c06597533
As part of the continued effort to offer an industry-leading print solution, we are migrating a number of services to new servers.
This migration is being performed to enhance the PrinterOn infrastructure and to improve future scalability of the PrinterOn service. In most cases, this migration will have no impact on PrinterOn customers, and users will continue to use the service to print as they normally would.
However, some PrinterOn Enterprise or PrinterOn Public customers who have restricted internet traffic may have whitelisted PrinterOn IP addresses. To avoid disruptions in service, those customers will need to update their whitelists to reflect the updated locations.
This change will not impact the majority of the customers. The only customers that may be impacted are the ones that have restricted (Whitelisted) access to only specific IP addresses outside their network through their corporate firewalls.
- If a customer is using PrinterOn Public (Hosted), then they need to look at their corporate firewall to make sure they have not limited (whitelisted) internet access from PDS or the embedded agent to only the specific IP addresses on the internet.
- If a customer is using PrinterOn Enterprise, then they need to look at their corporate firewall to make sure they have not limited ( white listed ) internet access from PDS, embedded agent, or PrinterOn Enterprise server to only the specific IP addresses on the internet.
- If a customer does not use a white list for internet access through their corporate firewall or if they white listed the internet access based on DNS names rather than IP addresses, then no further action is necessary because they should not be impacted.
