Printing native Google Doc formats through the PrinterOn Enterprise solution - c06614069

iOS (iPhone, iPad)

Share document to PrinterOn app from Google Drive:

  1. From within the Google Drive app, choose a document to print
  2. Tap the More icon (...) in the top right corner (if no icon shown, tap somewhere on the document preview)
  3. Tap Open in
  4. Select Copy to PrinterOn or Print with PrinterOn from the options presented
  5. If required, choose Tap here to change printers at the bottom of the app to search for or select a saved printer
  6. Select finishing options from the top right menu
  7. Submit print job

Android (Tablet or Phone)

Share document to PrinterOn app from Google Drive:

  1. From within the Google Drive app, choose a document to print
  2. Tap the Menu icon in the top right corner
  3. Tap Share & export
    NOTE:
    There is another choice presented called Open with when choosing the menu from the preview page of Google Drive
  4. Select Send a Copy from the options presented
  5. Choose the file format to convert the document to
    NOTE:
    PDF is the best option
  6. Select the PrinterOn app from the apps presented
  7. If required, choose Tap here to change printers at the bottom of the app to search for or select a saved printer
  8. Select finishing options from the top right menu
  9. Submit print job

Chromebook or Chrome Browser (any platform)

Submitting via Google Cloud Print

NOTE:

Your organization must have enabled the Google Cloud Print workflow within PrinterOn Enterprise and shared a printer with you for this flow to be supported

IMPORTANT: Google has announced that Google Cloud Print is being deprecated on December 31 2020

  1. Load Google Drive in the Chrome browser
  2. Open a document to print
  3. Choose File - Print
  4. Select the Google Cloud Printer to send this document to
  5. Choose finishing options
  6. Click Print

Submitting via Email

NOTE:

Your organization must have enabled the email workflow within PrinterOn Enterprise for this flow to be supported. In the case where authentication is required to use the service, users must send from their corporate email account.

  1. Load Google Drive in the Chrome browser
  2. Open a document to print
  3. Choose File - Email as Attachment
  4. Choose the file format to convert the document to
    NOTE:
    PDF is the best option
  5. Enter the printers email address in the To field eg. myprint@company.com
  6. Click Send
  7. The service will send a reply once the job has been processed. If jobs are held for secure release, they can be accessed after this email confirmation arrives. If jobs print automatically, the document will be available on the printer after this email confirmation arrives.

NOTE:

Finishing options on email print jobs will use the printer's default configuration.

There is no ability to change the finishing options when using this workflow.
