The Job Reference ID is a major part of identifying a job and any potential issues encountered during the print submission. This reference ID is a unique identifier for each and every job and can be used to trace each print request as it passes through each component within the solution.

Things to consider:

• When a print job fails to process, determine if a job reference ID was returned from the PrinterOn Enterprise solution
• If a Job Reference ID is NOT returned, the job failed to be accepted by the PrinterOn status server service. Therefore troubleshooting efforts should begin at the Central Print Services
• If the job Reference ID is present on the job, but the print job fails then the troubleshooting efforts should begin at the PrinterOn Anywhere server.
