What is the difference between SQL Agent service and SQL Server Agent (CPSDB) service? - c06244699

There are 2 services which appear similar when installing the PrinterOn Enterprise solution:

• SQL Agent service.
• SQL Server Agent (CPSDB).

SQL Server Agent (CPSDB) service is Disabled and stopped, while the SQL Agent is running.

So, what is the difference between the 2 services?

SQL Agent was created by PrinterOn and is the connector to the PrinterOn Configuration Manager. SQL Server Agent (CPSDB) was created by Microsoft for scheduling and running tasks.

This is disabled in SQL Server Express Edition because that functionality is not licensed.
