When to install and use a PrinterOn Print Delivery Hub (PDH)? - c06231763

As the administrator of the PrinterOn Enterprise solution, the PrinterOn Print Delivery Hub (PDH) would be required in the following scenarios:

• The PrinterOn Enterprise solution components exists within the data center and the and the printers are located at the main or offsite offices
• The PrinterOn Enterprise solution components exist on one network segment ( e.g. 10.2.x.x) but the users and printers exist on another network segment (e.g. 10.4.x.x)
• Allow the users of the PrinterOn Enterprise solution to submit their print requests when they are not on the corporate network, those print jobs would be sent to the PDH that resides within the organization's Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
• The PrinterOn agent exists within the MFP ( e.g. Ricoh Hotspot, HP MFP, Samsung Embedded agent)

NOTE:

Applies to PrinterOn Enterprise 3.x and later. The PDH is not installed by default, it must be selected as an item to install while going through a custom installation of the PrinterOn Enterprise solution.
