The short answer is no. AirPrint is a combination of IPP and printer discovery. If enabling the native iOS/AirPrint workflow, the Discovery option will enable network broadcasting of the printer (over port 5353 using mDNS) on the VLAN where the Print Delivery Gateway application has been installed. Native iOS/AirPrint can still be utilized without enabling Discovery by configuring an AirPrint profile inside an MDM solution, or using Apple Configurator.
