Print Delivery Station is not purging jobs based on Print Processing configuration - c07697540

NOTE:

This is a known issue in some versions of Print Delivery Station. It has been confirmed as a problem in PDS 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 but may impact other versions as well.

If the hard drive becomes full or a delay is seen when loading the Queue Monitor due to there being multiple pages worth of jobs, the Print Delivery Station may not be purging old jobs as expected. To resolve, follow these recommendations:

  1. Manually clean up jobs older than 72 hours from this folder: C:\ProgramData\PrinterOn Corporation\ PONData \PDS\client\ printjobs .
  2. Update to the latest available version of PDS found here: https://www.printeron.com/support/contact-support.html .
  3. Verify the value set for purging abandoned jobs. A default value of 72 hours is expected, with up to 168 hours (7 days) being configurable.
  4. Monitor the job folder for the next several days, depending on the value set in step 3, to ensure jobs are being cleaned up as expected.
